The Green Challenge - the HVAC Industry and Energy Efficiency
The Green Challenge’ Seminar Well Received
The 60 or more industry people who attended this AMCA / AIRAH seminar on 25th July, judging by their feedback, gave the seminar the ‘thumbs up’ in terms of its content and presentation. The Minister for Energy, Francis Logan, made the point that energy used in commercial buildings costs more than $ 4b each year and is responsible for 8% of our national greenhouse gas emissions. He advised that the government is examining options for a mandatory industry energy efficiency program. He concluded by applauding the efforts of the industry in raising the awareness of energy efficiency in commercial buildings through ‘The Green Challenge’ seminar.
