The Association is an active participant in the Building Industry Group (BIG) which comprises representatives from peak industry bodies in Western Australia – namely AMCA, the Association of Wall & Ceiling Industries, Civil Contractors Federation, the Master Builders Association, the Master Painters Association, the Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association, the National Electrical Communications Association and the National Fire Industry Association.   The Group meets at least quarterly and deals with current industry issues, including workplace relations, government regulations, training, occupational health & safety, and sustainability & green buildings. BIG also conducts from time to time seminars on topical issues as they arise.
